The Gye Nyame symbol represents the supremacy of God in the beliefs of the Ashanti people. "Gye Nyame" translates to "except God" or "Only God" in the Akan language. This symbol represents the omnipotence and omnipresence of God in the universe, reminding people to always acknowledge the power and authority of the creator in everything they do.
